About the Owner

Beyond the Fringe is a progressive Hair Salons Company located in Montgomery Twp. and Hillsborough Twp New Jersey owned by Donna McCray, a stylist with over 30 years of experience. Donna is a Certified Redken Hair Colorist, has studied with Educators Martin Parsons, Randy Rick, Roy Peters, John, Delaria, Beth Minardi, Graham Webb Educators, as well as attending various Redken Exchange Classes and Symposiums.

Our mission is to empower you to look great and feel great, we strive to create personalized style, to educate and to inspire.

We have started a training program for all new talent. We also set goals for ourselves. Education is the key word, you can never learn too much, whether it is improving your self image, our cutting, or coloring techniques, and people skills, this all plays a big part in our business. We touch people in many ways everyday. It’s a great feeling when you can put a smile on someone’s face and make their day by just giving them a haircut or changing their hair color, how great is that!!

Our goal is to keep our clients up to date on the newest trends, we are in a fashion business and must keep abreast of new styles. About 5 years ago, we started doing the Japanese hair straightening. We can cut your hair with the scissor, clippers razor, whatever best suits your needs, foiling, coloring, perms. Our clients are professionals and families. We use professional Redken Products and retail Redken hair care products along with  gift items such as jewelry.

We are striving for our salon to be one most talked about salons in the area. We have a lot of talented young girls. I would love to go to a bigger space and have a boutique so we could make you look good from head to toe!
